GUEST LECTURE AT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF CALCUTTA
As a professional excelling in what you do, I think it’s important to inspire the youth to go after their dreams. Don’t you agree?
Last Friday I was asked by Rahul Maheshwari to teach and inspire 14 and 15 year old kids who are learning photography at the Calcutta International School.
This experience was definitely new to me, me being in the Netherlands and my audience half way around the globe!
The questions I got asked during my hour talk gave me the idea that these kids meant business and I managed to get them to go out and take more portraits and make mistakes to learn and develop their skills to become India’s next top photographer.
I‘m serious about this and I gave them my e-mail to send me their shots and created the opportunity for me to witness their growth as a photographer going forward.
In the weeks following I received a dozen e-mails from the students sending me their work for feedback.
I’m glad my job gives me opportunities like this and I jump in with both feet whenever I can help.
So when was the last time you inspired others to step out of their comfort zone and do great things? I’d love to hear your experience on this.
Below are some images shot by Rahul when the students started putting my information into practice.
